Not sure that the water tower does wind measurement Paul. It's more of a pump thing. Being in a corner next to the wall and the far shore, it's not a good place for an anemometer really.

Richard, going back to one of your earlier posts, yes we can do diving for maintenance purposes. Apparently it's no fun at all down there - all muddy and practically pitch black once the sediment gets stirred up. But it can be done.

Mike,
I was thinking of it as a suitable mounting point for instrumentation that is unlikely to be damaged/interfered with.

An update on the Weather Station situation

I'm working on it on Saturday but I don't think it will be completed due to the lack of volunteer support I've had.

We are a members club run 'by' its members 'for' its members. Things don't get done unless members help.

Further to my post I have enough volunteers to drop the mast (note this is at 8am on the weekend!), but i have no volunteers to help fit the weather station and or put the mast back up at 6pm. If anyone is able to help please email me on rear_commodore_sail [at] draycotewater.co.uk.

Thanks

Work in progress...

http://www.draycotewater.co.uk/weather2/

Thanks for all those who helped: Andrew, Paul, Dave, Chris, Amy, Mark & Max and Rich.

I'll work further on getting the webpage right...

Tom and helpers - great to see things are working again, my thanks also.

Looks like the same software that is used at Frankton, which unhelpfully reads in m/s.

Is it possible for the user to choose the units? as I don't think in knots either, being a landlubber, mph would seem more relevant.

Please don't take this as a complaint already, would I dare? but just a suggestion whilst still 'a work in progress'.

My work in progress is still in progress... I've just broken the web page and I need to get on the PC to sort this out. I'll do this on Saturday. Sorry for the delay.

Still a sort of work in progress - but it will do for now. There are tonnes of graphs etc. and its difficult trying to choose the right one. Here's the live site http://www.draycotewater.co.uk/html/weather.html

Have a look at http://www.draycotewater.co.uk/weather/index.html for the choices. There is also http://www.draycotewater.co.uk/weather/index2.html

If people want different graphs then i see what i can do.
