Dear All,
I want to give you earliest sight of this: I have Peter booked to give an evening presentation and discussion on helping us improve our windsurfing. http://www.peter-hart.com/
Some points for you:
We have to pay him and therefore sell tickets in advance to ensure we can cover his costs. I'll get the office sorted by 31st Jan to sell tickets. If the advance sales are too poor - no Peter.
More information to follow but I trust the windsurfers and friends of windsurfers appreciate this event.
I think the price will be £7 - about the same as a cinema ticket.
Food and drink for purchase to be organised.
Rules for visitors apply as normal: in other words non-Members can attend if they are signed in by a Member and have not visited the Club more than four times in this Membership year.

Posters are up and the tickets are for sale. If you can't get to the office to pay you can still ring up and get your name down for the event. This will be a great help planning for the event.

Thanks

Alex, surely school is finished by 4ish though.... That should leave plenty of time to get to the club! Depending on what time it all starts. Andrew?

There has been an excellent response to the tickets and the event is confirmed. If you have not got your ticket yet, it will be possible to turn up on the night and pay cash at the door.

We ran the event successfully yesterday. Fortunately the snow held off and (i think) a fine time was had by all. We had 45 people on the night - not bad at all. That must be the most windsurfers in the bar at one time since I was a lad. Peter Hart gave a great talk which was accessible to learners and experts a like.

Peter's talk went down really well last night - he is a great character, and also seems to have brought some wind to Draycote, at last. There were ~ half a dozen of us out windsurfing this afternoon - it didn't drop below 20 mph and was gusting to 35 mph, according to Church Lawford weather station, why don't we get one of those? (joke - before I upset the stalwarts again). Sunday looks even windier...
