Obvious stuff really:
1) No swearing or anatomical references.
2) No offensive or derogatory comments about individuals, fleets or organisations. Do not post any information which is vulgar, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others privacy, sexually oriented, or violates any laws.
3) Members publishing photos of Youth and Junior sailors (under 18 years of age) should adhere to the 'Good Practice' guidelines, to be found on page 3 of the Club's Child Protection Policy. This policy can be located on the Draycote Water Sailing Club website in the 'Members area'.
4) No commercials.
5) State your vested interests if you have any.
6) Don't make any comments that could bring the club into disrepute or which might be reasonably deemed libelous.
7) Don't make any posts based on 'facts' that you cannot prove. Provide that proof if the 'facts' are not easily verifiable.
8) Do not make any comments (apart from nice ones) about members of staff.
9) Do not make your post in the form of a question or questions which can only be answered by the office, members of the general committee or flag officers. This is a discussion forum, not a hotline to any of the aformentioned.
10) Bear in mind that this stuff can be read by everyone everywhere. If your username does not identify you and you wish to remain anonymous, don't post anything that anyone anywhere is going to find offensive. We don't mind you being anonymous under normal circumstances, but if you're going to upset anyone then we and the rest of the world want to know who you are.
11) No flooding.
Posts which violate these terms will be removed. Your membership of this discussion board may be revoked if necessary to prevent further violations. You do not have to be a member of Draycote Water Sailing Club to post here, and conversely you do not have any automatic rights to post here if you are.
Please also be aware that whilst we all subscribe to the principles of freedom of speech, this discussion board is not intended to be used for political purposes. As the name implies, it's for general discussion of stuff and for members (and non-members) to have a chat and share experiences and information. Generally it works very well.
Any comments regarding the forum should be addressed to forum [at] draycotewater.co.uk
